Biography
Miles joined Liberty Specialty Markets (LSM) in March 2025 to support the 2025 underwriting business plan. He will be underwriting policies that fit our existing product lines for Airlines, General Aviation, Contingent All Risks, Airport and Products, Aircraft Spares, Confiscation by Government of Registry and Excess Third Party War Liability. This underwriting involvement will also include management of complex risks in support of our existing and new clients.
Miles joined Liberty from United Insurance Brokers Limited where he was Managing Director for their Aviation business since March 2020. Prior to this he held various leadership roles including being head of and responsible for the Marine and Aviation portfolio classes, and joint active underwriter for a Lloyd’s Syndicate.
He has over 35 years of Industry experience, both as a broker and underwriter across multi class London market business.
Miles was Chair of the LMA Aviation subcommittee between 2014 & 2016 and member of the International Union of Aviation Underwriters Airline study group for eight years to 2016.
