Liberty Specialty Markets promotes Patrick Bravery to Head of Construction

Liberty Specialty Markets (LSM), part of Liberty Mutual Insurance Group, has announced the promotion of Patrick Bravery to Head of Construction, LSM, London Markets, effective immediately. He will report to Melanie O’Neill, CUO, LSM, London.

In his new role, Bravery’s principal responsibility will be overseeing the London construction book whilst actively working closely with product leaders across the regions to deliver a global offering that meets the needs of Liberty’s international client base. Since joining Liberty, Bravery has partnered with tech start-ups, working groups and the wider civil engineering sector to better understand and find solutions for the changing nature of risk. This combined with more than 22 years of underwriting experience, places Bravery in a perfect position ensure the resilience of Liberty’s construction book in the face of emerging risks.

Bravery was Global Head of Civil Construction since 2019, having joined the company in 2015 as Head of Underwriting in the Global Civil Construction team. Prior, following ten years in the Construction sector, he held roles as a Class Underwriter at a Lloyd’s syndicate and as a Senior Underwriter at Swiss Re Corporate Solutions.
