Liberty Specialty Markets Promotes Ronald Bolaños to President, US & Latin America

Liberty Specialty Markets (LSM), part of Liberty Mutual Insurance Group, announces today that Ronald Bolaños has been promoted to President, US & Latin America, which encompasses specialty insurance and facultative reinsurance.  

Ronald, who is based in Miami, Florida and takes up the role with immediate effect, is responsible for growing LSM’s footprint across the region by leading his team to develop specialised solutions that meet customer needs.

Previously, he was Chief Underwriting Officer for LSM Latin America. He replaces Alex Montoya who is now Chief Operating Officer for Liberty’s Global Risk Solutions North America division.

Ronald has great knowledge of our markets and clients, a global mindset and a technical understanding of this business.”

Ronald has over 20 years’ experience in the re/insurance industry. He joined Liberty in 2012, having previously worked at Validus and AIG. He has worked in São Paulo, Santiago and Miami in a variety of senior roles in risk and underwriting in the energy sector and has a proven track record of delivering incremental revenue and building market share in the Latin American markets.
