London Gothic is a contemporary take on the iconic painting American Gothic by Grant Wood painted in 1930. It is set against a background of the capital’s buildings including The Shard, Buckingham Palace & the Gherkin. The pitchfork is replaced by a disposable coffee cup & the clothing updated but the melancholy of the expressions remain.
