Liberty extends its Onshore Energy offering with formation of specialist Renewable Energy team

02 October 2017, LONDON – Reflecting the changing energy mix globally, Liberty Specialty Markets (LSM), part of Liberty Mutual Insurance Group, is expanding its onshore energy offering by establishing a new specialist renewable energy team. Integrating underwriting, risk engineering and claims, the team, led from London, will provide insurance solutions tailored to the needs of brokers and clients.

Tom Clifton, Senior Underwriter – Power and Renewables, will head the team from LSM’s London office. He will be supported by Jose Luis Ruiz-Poveda, Energy Manager, based in Madrid. This development builds upon LSM’s significant experience in the renewables sector, including being a lead market in Spain for Solar Power clients. Business will be underwritten from Liberty’s London office and regional hubs in Paris, Madrid and Dubai.
