Charlotte Swan Artwork

Inspired by my epilepsy and my question of ‘What does it mean for the body to go wrong?’. After a tonic-clonic seizure that caused nerve damage under my eye, I wanted to peel back the skin and look deeper at the human face, exposing the story beneath the surface. Using my iPad to draw each layer, vein, muscle tissue and connective tissue, I wanted to forensically look at the hidden narrative, network and beauty which make up the human face.
