Tell us about 'Solar House'
Solar House is a response to a walk I went on to Leith Hill. It explores the act of walking within natural landscapes and the relationship between the body and its environment. I am intrigued by the traces that we leave within natural landscapes, and the possibility for narratives surrounding them. My process involved taking lots of photographs during the walk, of the scenery and the people I was walking with. I then took these photographs back to the studio to repetitively draw and re-imagine, creating somewhere new but still rooted in reality.
