Tell us about 'Forest Virus'
‘Forest Virus’ was made by scratching an etching needle and screw into a layer of hard ground on a copper plate, imprinting tarlatan and string into a layer of soft ground, then etching over an aquatint with a sharpie pen and white ground. The plate was etched between each stage with ferric chloride, then inked up and printed by rolling it through a press. The image was based on a scene inside my virtual reality forest where a tree had glitched and become severed by a triangle.
