Sowing seeds and cropping farm produce on the Earth have similar process-es with consuming food of the outer world into our bodies and cropping energy from the food. What we eat becomes ourselves. We take food from the Earth and have characters in common with the Earth; for example, water takes up 70% of the surface on the Earth, and the human body also has 70% of water. The Earth also has a hot heart in the core of it. The forests of the Earth look like our hair or bronchioles. The Earth feeds many living things like a mother. What about human beings to the Earth? Are we symbionts? Or greedy gourmands like harmful viruses?

Influenced by the East-Asian ‘respect life’ philosophy which regards that every living thing has equal value to humans, I seek universal values and equality between food cropped from the Earth and ourselves, using food ingredients as my painting material.
