Mercedes Balle

About the artist

Mercedes Balle is a visual artist based between London and Majorca. Balle reuses building materials to create art about nature.  She sees the layers and layers of constructions in the cities as the biggest disconnection between the landscape and her. Balle's practice moves through different media as she transforms again and again the building materials she gets, trying to squeeze all their possibilities. By doing so, she wants to get involved in the circular economy with the art and question the problems of our economy in relation to the environment.

Balle graduated from Art Academy London in 2020. Her work has been exhibited numerous times in Spain and the UK. In 2020 was a finalist at Art Jove competition and showed at Casal Solleric in Majorca.
